Wikipediavision-medium

WikipediaVision is an (almost) real-time visualization of Wikipedia edits and what part of the world they come from.

It's kind of useless, but compelling viewing for all that.

rate this project

We'd like you to rate a project for success in three different areas. Tick looks good if it is aesthetically pleasing, and tick works well if it is technically innovative. Most importantly tick performs effectively if you think it meets all of its professional objectives.

Obviously we don't really expect to see any work submitted that is no good, but you never know.

Yes. Compelling.

It is nice, and I did watch it ticking away. Someone edited ENCYCLOPEDIA while I was watching, I thought that was pretty significant.

I'm sure there are better things you could use (almost) real-time visualizations for, any ideas?

Sorry its late here at work, I have just run out of witty ideas.

visualise this

how about a tool to visualise the times when designers leave work. Last man standing kind of approach.

Or attach a sensor to the kettles in design studios around the planet and watch the tea breakers of the world unite.

As Morrissey almost sang.
