I'm sure with the way the world is going there wont be enough electricity to power christmas lights in a few years time. So make the most of these while they last.

Upwardly mobile W&K team up with über cool United Visual Artists to do an interactive take on the christmas light show. Or perhaps this is better described as 'reactive'. The appearance of the lights is controlled by pedestrain flow, weather and other external influences.

How very 'now'. In fact the only thing which is more 'now' than this, is the Spitalfields christmas light. One single low energy saving bulb, which was switched on yesterday.

We'd like you to rate a project for success in three different areas. Tick looks good if it is aesthetically pleasing, and tick works well if it is technically innovative. Most importantly tick performs effectively if you think it meets all of its professional objectives.

Obviously we don't really expect to see any work submitted that is no good, but you never know.

Good to see some new thinking being applied, both to the lights themselves and the official turn on. Regent Street usually hosts some of the better lights in London and this year appears to be following tradition. I suppose it's no surprise to note that they're sponsored by Nokia whose flagship store opens in January.
